Boasting a shared lounge and free WiFi, 森の宿 ビヨルク is located in Myoko. Bjork was very comfortable, clean and stylish. It is nestled in the middle of the woods so some of the windows framed the natural beauty of the Myoko area. The couple who run the place are meticulous about every detail and you feel well taken care of from the first moment to the last. We ordered the breakfast both mornings and it was delicious and satisfying. It was nice to come back to the smell of a fireplace after a day on the hills. We will return there if we go back to Myoko in the future.

Refre Hotel in Myoko features ski-to-door access and a shared lounge. With free WiFi, this hotel offers ski storage space and free shuttle service upon prior request. I can’t describe adequately how much we enjoyed our stay at Refre… Peter, Jen and the whole staff went above and beyond to make us feel like family. Any request or help we needed was met with kindness, humour and efficiency. What made our stay so good was that it seemed that the Refre team really enjoyed having us there. Not like other hotels in Japan, where people are polite but robotic, we honestly felt more at home at Refre then at some family Christmas lunches! The hotel had such a good vibe, excellent breakfast, great communal area where you can sit and meet other travellers, have a beer or a tea. The private onsen was pretty special, after a day on the mountain, having the option to relax in a thermal onsen was very luxurious. The other great thing about Refre is that they know the town very well, can recommend the best places to eat, where to get gear from and details about each ski resort that you wouldn’t know. We will be back, for longer and telling all our friends to book at Refre!

* large room with separate bedroom and tatami parts * good location close to shopping street, about 10-15 minutes walk to Yodel Ski Lifts, and 5 minutes to Kumado lifts * very friendly and helpful staff, who kindly picked me up and drove me back to Myoko Kogen station * discount tickets available at the front desk (ski rental, lifts) * drying toom for ski equipment * the room was quite cold, but the electric heater I received at the front helped a lot * the story and paintings of Hatsuno Goto, hotel owner's relative
Myoko
The location of the hotel is pretty good with a relatively short walk to the Kumado chair for your days skiing The room was a reasonable size and worked well for our family of 4 (two older teenagers) and the beds were comfortable The onsen is huge and the outdoor bath is one of the best we have seen. Service level by the staff is also fantastic as was the free shuttle to/from Myoko Kogen station.
A traditional ryokan with great service and delicious meals. We stayed for three nights and we had different variety for every meal. They picked us up from the train station and shuttled us to the ski slopes. The owners are very friendly and gracious.
Great service and comfortable home feeling from the staff. Prompt and helpful with all matters and concerns
Location was perfect. Ski in ski out and just a 10 minute walk into the heart of town. Comfortable- the beds were so comfy. There was a gorgeous fire that you could sit around on an evening and enjoy your own food and drinks. They also had a lovely dinner and breakfast area. Kazu and his family were so unbelievably accommodating!!! Picking us up from the station and taking us into town when one of my friends was injured. Ski hire was easy and cheap through the hotel link. We also got discounted lift passes through the hotel voucher. All staff at the hotel were amazing. A huge thank you for making our stay so perfect.
We had an AMAZING time at Soratobu Usagi! The location is awesome. We truly enjoyed the ski-in/ski-out location. We did a bit of research and were able to reach it by train and bus from Nozawa Onsen. The team made everything super easy for us from snowboard rentals to lift tickets. The onsen in the basement is so relaxing and a real highlight. Everything was very clean and we felt very comfortable and cozy. We speak zero Japanese but they were very willing to help us with everything. We ate most our meals there and everything was SO good! We hit some powder days which was a nice bonus as well. We would definitely stay here again and recommend you to book it now!
The view of Mount Myoko (i think) is amazing!!
Super clean - room / shared areas / toilet / washing facilities Spacious and comfortable room Fast and reliable WiFi Wonderful food Amazing owners! I was at a cycle event and breakfast was prepared for me at 5am to accommodate an early start. Then a lovely hot dinner in the evening.
Pension Moomin Papa is a very cute and cosy home from home. It was very warm with lovely underfloor heating, clean and tidy. You can order home cooked breakfast and dinner. The other travellers were nice and friendly. I loved my stay here!
I love it so much , it’s the most luxury ski resort I’ve been to
It is one of the best ski resorts for beginner. The slope is a good challenge for newbies and the lift ticket is cheap and not crowded at all. I can get to snowboarding right in the back of the hotel. I would recommend it for families with elderly and kids. The dinner is included and it is very good and delicious.
